Kathy + Mike

Before we head out the door to be with family for a few days over Thanksgiving I wanted to post Kathy and Mike’s beautiful wedding. Each time I look at these pictures I fall more in love with every detail. We knew from their engagement session that working with these two was going to be an absolute joy on their wedding day. We had a wonderful time. A big thank you to Anne Marie and Mark for sending Kathy and Mike our way! We wish all of you a happy Thanksgiving and that no matter where you are and who you’re with you have many things to be grateful for this week. : )

Rachna + Rishi | Milwaukee Art Museum Wedding

Rachna and Rishi have an elegance about them that we truly admire. Thanks to the help of David Caruso, one of our favorite designers in the Midwest, their entire wedding weekend was an artful display of their character and style. Every detail went off without a hitch and it was a perfect way to celebrate the love and joy that these two have. It’s hard to ask for anything more than to be surrounded by the best art, food and view Milwaukee has to offer. Congratulations you guys! We had so much fun.

Matt + Amy | Lake Geneva Wedding

There are some people in life that you meet who remind you of old friends from your past. Effortlessly you find yourself reminiscing on all of life’s good times together even though you’ve never even shared those moments with each other. It is a rare find and even rarer for couples to find other couples like this but it happened for us with Amy and Matt. We’ve only known them a year but they are like old friends to us. Clients turned friends, friends turned dear friends. We just love ‘em. : )

Their wedding took place on Lake Geneva’s George William’s Campus where Amy’s family has long time owned a piece of beautiful lakefront property. The place holds most of Amy’s fondest childhood memories and Matt and Amy have spent endless weekends there as a couple to escape the city whenever they can. Like so many couples getting married in the Midwest this year, the threat of rain during their outdoor ceremony loomed all weekend but somehow the skies made a complete 180 and gave us nothing but warmth and sunshine for the entire afternoon. Being that Amy is a professional ballerina (and a darn good one at that), their party was overtaken by some of the most incredible dance moves we have yet to see at a wedding celebration. It was nothing but pure joy to work alongside these two as well as the all-star vendor team they put together:

Matt + Amy | On The Rise

We are headed out of the office in a few minutes for a full weekend of weddings and engagement sessions but before we go I wanted to post these two images of the adorable Matt and Amy who were married a couple of weeks ago in Wisconsin. They held their cocktail hour on the legendary Lady of the Lake paddle boat which toured Lake Geneva. It was a wonderful time and as you can tell Matt and Amy had the time of their lives. They’re just so cute aren’t they?! I’ll post more images next week. Have a great weekend everyone!

Rebecca + Dan | Bloomington Country Club

Rebecca and Dan came into our lives a little over a year ago. After our first meeting, we fell in love with these two. Though they live in Chicago, they decided to get married in Bloomington where Rebecca was originally from and where her parents and some of her family still live. The have a passion for keeping things classic and have a deep rooted respect for tradition. Both the church and country club were where Rebecca’s two siblings and best friend hosted their weddings which carried a lot of meaning in making the decision. Even the bartender, Dorris, had become a special part of the family since she had been around for all of the weddings.

Rebecca describes the style of their wedding to a T: “classic chic and sophisticated with a bit of preppy infusion.” I loved how the whole event was a direct reflection of who Rebecca and Dan are. They designed the evening’s menu around their favorite restaurants and created a signature mojito cocktail since that was what they drank on their first date. Everything from the flowers to the paper and even the fashion were all things that Rebecca loves. Their biggest goal in designing the event was to make sure that the day represented them completely while connecting their family and friends together and continuing on the tradition. I think they did just that!
